I’m sure you remember growing up with some kind of ball to kick around, sit on or just throw at people. I do. Most sports are centered around a ball; be it basketball, football or baseball. Well the newer form is the gym ball. It's the large, round and inflated ball that people of all ages and fitness levels are beginning to use. If you plan on becoming a pro with the gym ball you'll either have to hire a trainer or had started getting yourself familiar with the gym ball at a young age.

Though working out is typically something you do alone; possibly with a trainer, a gym ball can be a great way for you and your partner to spend some quality time together. I know, it sounds a bit odd to suggest that you and your partner would just pick up a gym ball and go sit in a field somewhere. Ideally, you’d use the gym ball for its intended purposes that being exercising. Gym ball workouts are very intense and times and might not always be the best time to be around your significant other. That said, Gym ball exercises are great for relieving stress and getting your mind off of the daily grind. Yes, I’m saying exercise balls can benefit your life in more ways than one.

Dodge ball is not something you’ll want to do with your gym ball. The size and weight of it could cause some serious damage to someone if they aren’t paying attention. There have been some cases where gym balls that weren’t secure have fallen can caused injury and / or damage. If you keep your gym ball inflated at all times, it’s a good idea to store it in a place that isn’t easily accessible to children or animals. I’m not saying exercise balls are dangerous, per say, but if you’re want to expose your children to them (never dogs or cats), it’s a good idea to keep an eye on them to prevent injury and potentially scarring them for life, detouring them from exercise. You don’t want your child addicted to Doritos, do you?

Having a gym ball around the house is always a good idea. Almost always. If your babysitter is as relentless as the characters in dodge ball, it's probably a good idea to keep all of the exercise balls hidden. Gym ball exercises can be done anywhere, at any time which is one of the main benefits of the workout routine. You can pair up with the wall, the ground, a set of light weights or even another gym ball and start honing your body. Get your kids acquainted early if you want them to feel comfortable with the workout ball and not see it as just a toy. Some people think gym ball routines are the workout of the future.
