Fitness Ball Helps to Build Core Strength

The fitness ball started out as a tool used by rehabilitation specialists to help clients heal muscle injuries and build strength.  It has evolved as a fitness tool used by trainers in classes and videos to help clients develop a strong and lean abdominal core.  Also called stability balls, they work by keeping the body working to maintain balance using muscles that are not often used.

Some believe that using this equipment in the form of a chair will give your abdominals a constant workout even while sitting at your desk all day.  However, there have been no official reports to substantiate the claim.
